This is the narrow canyon on the Navajo Loop trail. On the way up, we had to do several switch backs as the elevation increased rapidly. We managed to do this hike in under 1.5 hours, which is well under the 2-3 hours recommended for this hike.

...after some planning, we decided to start in late May and go across the US, into Canada, and down the west coast. Little did we know that we'd end up adding a whole section of the U.S. to our trip.
After the trip, Orion is off to Stanford for his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Rafael is going to Harvard Business School for his M.B.A., and Elizabeth is going to University of Iowa Law School for her J.D.
